Foundational wisdom across the Vedas and their auxiliary texts

لم تُترجم هذه الصفحة إلى العربية بعد. النص المعروض بالإنجليزية.

The oldest layer: architecture appears inside ritual and astronomical material rather than as a subject of its own, and has to be read out of it.

References to the enclosure, the hearth, the post and the measured ground sit within hymns and ritual manuals. The Śulba Sūtras — geometry for building altars — are the closest thing to a technical source, and they establish the habit of working from a struck line and a squared grid.

Nothing here is a building code. What it supplies is vocabulary and method: orientation by shadow, construction by rope and peg, and the idea that a plan is set out before it is built.
