Mayamata
Temple form and architectural principles
لم تُترجم هذه الصفحة إلى العربية بعد. النص المعروض بالإنجليزية.
A southern builder's handbook: ordered, dimensioned and unusually close to how work was actually set out on site.
Mayamata moves in sequence — site examination, the mandala, the module, then village and town, houses, and finally temple form and iconography. Its strength is that each stage yields the numbers the next stage needs, so the text can be followed rather than merely consulted.
It is also the clearest source on the padas of the Vastu Purusha Mandala and on keeping the brahmasthana free of load and use.
